On September 31 me, Danika, Meagan and Rock hooked up my boat and headed down to Roosevelt Lake. Our plan was to have a fun filled weekend on the water. Once we got there it was dark so we had an interesting time setting up a tent in the dark, but we did it. That night laying in the tent it was hot, there wasn't even the slightest breeze but we had fun just laying there talking and looking forward to the days to come.
Our tent
Early the next morning Jake and his family showed up so after grabbing some delicious breakfast burros (that Meagan made) we hit the lake. Rock wakeboarded and he must just be a natural becasue he was able to get up pretty easy. I on the other hand took awhile to get the feel of it but then I was doing pretty good and I was proud of myself. Jake who had learned earlier in the year was teaching people buy getting in the water with them and holding the board while pushing them up. Danika never was able to get up.

wakeboarding!!
After doing this for a little while we desided to break out the knee boards. Again Rock was showing everybody up. Thats when I got the idea that we should try to go double. We had two ropes and two boards so lets have twice the fun. Meagan agreed with me so her and I were the 1st to try going double. It turned out to be a huge success and we had a blast doing it.

Later that evening after some Jake and Sarah drama Sarah and 2 of the boys ended up going home. Since it was none of the rest of our business we choose to stay and have a good time. That night Lance (Estes) also joined us, he and I hadn't hung around each other since high school and it was fun to catch up with him and talk about the past.

The following day Meagan was trying to wakeboard and after she got up she fell and the board caught her in the back of the head causing her to go to the ER in globe for stiches. She was such a trooper because she was back in the boat and the water (against doctors advice) soon after leaving the hospital.

It was a fun weekend with lots of fun had and memories made. I think it may have been the begining of a great tradition.
